Project Leaders and Advisors

Women in International Development (WID), formerly GLCD, is a purposeful networking step toward an active transdisciplinary research and training enterprise. The work of the WID is led and guided by a Project Advisory Team composed of faculty with teaching and research experience related to the role of women in the United States and abroad. The team includes faculty from Texas A&M University; University of California, Davis; Utah State University; and Ohio State University and other collaborators including a former Ph.D. student whose dissertation is the genesis for the WID and an external evaluator with youth development experience.

The charge for this team is to not only advise on the direction of the WID but also participate actively in project activities, e.g., contribute to the development of the modules and pilot them in their courses. Additional charges include expanding the network of faculty from a wider array of disciplines, envisioning next steps to continue the effort beyond the life of current funding, and participating in the WID’s formative and summative evaluation process.
